Hold Fast came in the year that tried to kill us all as we struggled with family illnesses and every kind of debilitating situation but somehow managed to keep our farm going and growing. I have sold a few excellent bucklings out of Scarlet over the years, being a bit pained at each sale, but we finally decided this was the time to keep one for ourselves and Scarlet delivered exactly what I ordered - a polled buckling (as well a retained doeling, Hold Fast's sister Flying Colours).

I love a polled buckling if he's also quality, and Hold Fast is both. He's a sturdy little dude who shows the promise of Scarlet's width and depth but his sire PB's wonderful feet, legs, and front end. He is gentle and full of gumption. We are so happy to have finally retained a son from our trusty, lovely Scarlet and I'm really jazzed to try him out this fall. He's called by his full name, Hold Fast!, something it's important for us all to be doing right now.
