Amity freshened with one large singlet buckling in 2025 and the moment he stood up we knew Hamlet was a keeper. Hamlet is structurally excellent and correct, robust, growthy, dairy, strong, and ours!

Amity is probably our most beautiful animal. Her udder is nearly perfect to my eyes and as an aged doe she is just as lovely and functional a dairy girl as she was in her youth. Each day we wish we had ten goats like her and we hope Hamlet helps us achieve that goal. Hamlet was bred by our friend Janet at Black Mare Farm who has done some of the most skillful and beautiful PB Alpine pairings in New England and he is also the grandson of Maple Wind Fantine, one of my most aspirational goats. He is going to pack a punch. 

 

(Amity tried really hard to conceal her labor from us as I stared at the barn cam and exclaimed "something is rotten in Denmark;" the name Hamlet stuck immediately and he was retroactively dubbed Infinite Jest in honor of the Bard.)
